How to check EP issues for RSM

Settings issue

Step 1: Check to see if it’s created in Items-Planning for the Planning Cluster and the Item. If it’s not, then create it in this session. 

 

Step 2: Check to see if the Supply Source is “Distribution”. If it’s not Distribution, then please zoom into the item and change it to “Distribution”.

Step 3: Check to see if the Supplying Relationship is set up for the item and the Planning Cluster. If it’s not, then set it up.

Hanging Order issue

If there are orders that are hanging or incomplete, then EP will not run properly. In order to check this, we have to go to Inventory 360. Let’s look at item 015179. If user asks why this item is not in the EP for my store, search for the item in Inventory 360, then go to Warehousing Orders.

There are a few orders that are still Open and not yet received. Check the Ship To warehouse to determine the store.

All these open orders contribute to EP not running because Inventory On Hand + Inventory On Order has to be less than the Safety Stock that is set in the Item Data by Warehouse.

In this case, safety stock is 3 and the Inventory On Hand + Inventory On Order is 4, which is more than the safety stock. Hence, the EP will not run.
